Transparent Humboldt Coalition exposes and combats corruption, waste, and abuse in local government through investigative research, community organizing, and technology-enabled accountability tools.

We believe transparency isn't optional—it's the foundation of democratic governance. When systems hide, communities suffer. We make the hidden visible.

We combine traditional FOIA requests and document analysis with AI-powered pattern recognition to identify irregularities in contracts, budgets, and procurement.

Whistleblower Protection

We build secure channels for insiders to report wrongdoing without risking their careers or safety.

Community Power

Accountability isn't a spectator sport. We equip residents with information, tools, and organizing support to demand better from their government.

Through Liberation Labs, we democratize access to AI tools and literacy, proving that technology can serve movements for justice instead of just corporate profits.

Who We Are

We're a coalition of concerned residents, former public servants, technologists, and organizers who are sick of watching our community's resources get pillaged by corrupt officials and predatory contractors.

Some of us have government experience. Some have organizing backgrounds. Some have technical skills. What we all share is a refusal to accept the status quo.

Funding and Transparency

Transparent Humboldt Coalition is a 501(c)(4) fiscally sponsored project. We're funded entirely by individual donations and small foundation grants.

We welcome donations, but we do not accept:

Corporate donations
Contributions from government contractors
Funding that restricts our investigative independence
